Rachelle's Top 5 Favorites about Oklahoma

*These are in no specific order:
1. There is little to no traffic here for the most part. On a
negative side there is a lot of construction. It feels like you go through a construction zone every 3 minute on the freeway. Yet still with little traffic.
2. Cody and I went to Walmart this morning which was glorious! (who do you know that has ever said Walmart is glorious in Utah county?? NO ONE) The store was nice, clean, and there wasn't thousands of people OR thousands of children. I never once had some one's cart on my heels and I didn't feel like I had to hurry to get the LAST item off the shelf. We have a Walmart just about 5 minutes away from where we live.
3. People are friendly here. When we were in Walmart we had another shopper approach us and tell us how great this honey type product was....and since she saw strawberries in our cart she had to recommend it to us to eat on our strawberries. Cody grabbed a bottle off the shelf and put in our cart to make her feel good, and to make her keep quiet. We later ditched it on a different isle. Looks like Cody and I will have to work on being friendlier people to fit in here.
4. It is hot and it feels like summer here. As opposed to the rainy first two and a half weeks of June we came from. However I do hear now that it is in the 90's in Utah, so it looks like summer is finally there. I only wish we could share the humidity here with everyone there. You all are sure missing out!
5. Gas prices are lower here. Now not by much but hey every penny counts. The lowest we have seen is about $2.25 but that is quarter cheaper than what we saw in Utah.

*So far the most major downside to living here has been the sad realization that no one carries Famous Dave's barbecue sauce. Every time we go by barbecue sauce in the store Cody searches the shelf relentlessly. We have yet to find it.

I just thought i would let you know there are famous daves bbq restraunts everywhere in tulsa so there should be some in OKC and they always sell bottles of the sauce there.
