You are probably thinking right now that the words "free" and "money" do not go together. I didn't think so either until I met Cody. Cody is absolutely SOLD on this concept. Let me explain the most recent situation where this has occurred. Since moving out here we switched car insurance companies. I cancelled the policy only to see on my bank statement the next month they had withdrawn the money. So after a huge hassle and a bunch of phone calls I got the situation straightened out. The insurance company now owes us a refund. Which of course they cannot deposit the money directly into my account, they have to send my a physical check. So after about 4 weeks we finally received our check in the mail yesterday. This is what Cody considers "free money". So he has been plotting how to spend this excess of money when I bring him down to reality and say, "WE PAYED THIS MONEY OUT IT'S NOT FREE!" For some reason he refuses to think that this is money we earned. We usually have the same problem with tax returns. Can someone please explain to my husband that money is not free??!
