For anyone who is wondering what I have been up to well the pictures speak for themselves. That's right I have found myself a new hobby. I have recently found it really relaxing to put together puzzles. I am currently working on my third puzzle in
about 3 weeks.
Cody and I officially leave for Oklahoma in just under 3 months now! Every day Cody comes home and asks if there is anything in the mail since we haven't really received any correspondence from the school since he was accepted. Last week he finally got his welcome packet with a list of things he needs to start doing. We have to get his scrubs ordered (with his name on them...pretty cool!), make sure he is properly vaccinated, and collect 100 extracted teeth. Yes I did say 100. So yesterday we were running around to a bunch of dental offices dropping of our containers and asking dentists to save their extracted teeth for him. Then yesterday in the mail Cody received another package from OU. This time he opened it up and it contained a jump drive. So we hurry and put in the computer to find a message from the dean! It is really fun to see Cody so excited about all of it. He is like Harry Potter in the summer waiting to hear from Hogwarts! Waiting for his book list and just dying for any correspondence. Cody and I will be going out to Oklahoma the last week of May to look for a place to live before we officially move on June 18. Meanwhile at my work they are currently still looking for a replacement for me. While the next 3 months will go quickly I still have a lot of work to do at my job. And the next 3 months are the busiest of the year for me. So of course I not looking forward to that.
Last Saturday Cody and I ran our first 5K ever! UVU was putting it on and Cody got extra credit for one of his classes if he signed up, even more if he ran it, and even more if he beat his teacher. First off it started at 9am and it was freezing cold. Cody usually has runs faster than I do so we split up since he was determined to beat his teacher. My only goal was to run the entire time and not walk. About 3/4ths through the race I saw Cody and pushed myself to run a little harder and I caught up to him. We were able to finish the race together. At the very end I told Cody I had to sprint to get a slightly better time. So I finished about 3 seconds ahead of him. My final time was 30 minutes 20 seconds. I really wanted to be under 30 minutes but I guess that will be my goal for the next 5K. I will say I had a great time and I can't wait to do it again! Cody was not quite so eager to say that. But he did beat his teacher by about 20 seconds so at least he got the maximum amount of extra credit. Oh and the picture of me was taken at home after the race.

Yeah! Good for you! I am glad that it was so fun. I am thinking of running a 4 mile race on Memorial Day. A bit longer than the 5K I did last year. My 5K time from last year was only about 50 seconds better than your time. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the update, I appreciate it. I'm so proud of you guys, running a 5K. I did one in the fall and I had the same goal, just run/jog the whole time, no walking. Good Job!! We need to get together again before you guys leave!
Way to go! I didn't know you were a runner. If ya'll ever want to take a road trip to the coast, I'd love to see you!
