Our Summer

Well the summer is flying by and as usual not much has gone on. We successfully applied to what seems like every dental school on the planet (in reality it was only 30). We even got all of the supplementary applications done and paid each school a pretty penny just to process our application. Cody took the DAT on July 1st and got a 21! That is a really good score! He scored in the 91% percentile. I am so proud! So with a good score, and good grades, and awesome letters of recommendations.....we are hoping that somewhere says "yes". I am hoping that "somewhere" is on the west coast near a beach...

Our only semi-summer vacation is this weekend. We are going camping with Cody's family. I am actually looking forward to relaxing in the sun and getting away from the mundane work life. Cody has also invented the most amazing smore ever! So I bet your wondering what the secret. Well instead of using chocolate, use a reese peanut butter cup, it is so good! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes smores.

Actually Cody and I are taking separate vacations this year since our schedules are hectic. Cody is going to Mexico next month with "Charity Anywhere" it is a school function that goes down and does dental care I guess. So it is not really a vacation, but I am sure they will find a beach somewhere down there and have a little fun....so then I do consider it a vacation. I on the other hand am going on a week long Mexican Riviera cruise in November! I am stoked. Since the cruise is a few weeks before finals Cody has already told me that he will not be able to go. I had the opportunity to go last year and turned it down because Cody could not go, I cant turn a "free" cruise down twice in a row, or I would be in idiot. So of course I am going and taking a friend with me!

Comcast is a rip off...we discovered this 2 weeks ago and made our switch to dish. I am not sure if our choice was any better. Our Dish technician arrived at 2:30pm, luckily Cody was the one who got to be home supervising the installation. I got home at 6pm surprised to see the guy was still there. So I left for a rousing hour of turbo kick box and got home at 8:15 and the guy was still there.....I don't know how long it takes to get cable but 6 hours seemed a little lengthy to me! Finally he left at 8:45pm and our cable still did not work, he ended up having to come back the next day to switch out the receiver and it finally worked. I have decided that I hate dealing with cable companies....if my husband didn't like ESPN so much and I didn't like So You Think You Can Dance so much then I would get rid of it. It's not worth the hassle.

YES! You live!

First off, congrats to Cody. That's awesome! We are getting ready, or Josh is rather, to apply to a billion schools. Luckily for me 1/2 of them are in California soooo that can't be all bad.

Next, you had better be taking me on the cruise...HA.

I miss you and we need to have dinner...remember how we both had bdays and we never celebrated?! SERIOUSLY.

Move back, please?

Congrats on a super awesome score. It's so nice to have lots of options open for school. I am sure he'll get into the best.

Turbo kickbox sounds fun, I am jealous! Oh well, I picked up a couple 10 pound weights in the hopes that I will slim down somewhere. Hmmm.

Congrats to Cody! Sorry this summer is as boring as last year. One day hopefully soon you won't have to work 60-80 hour work weeks and can play some during the summer.

Hello! I found you via Hanna's site, so while I am blog-stocking, at least I wasn't a creep about it!Anyway, your blog cracks me up. I love it! Julie decided that I will be taking that kick boxing class with you also in November; which I cannot wait for. Hope all is well! See you on the cruise, if not sooner!
