So it is official, I get to go to New York with Cody! He was able to switch his interview to October which means we will be going over Fall Break. We will now be able to spend a few days there and check out all the amazing sites. We plan to go to Ellis Island and go inside the statue of liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, Chinatown, Grand Central Station, Ground Zero, and more. I am trying to convince Cody that seeing a Broadway play would be fun, but he is just not seeing the light. So unless he changes he mind we will be missing out.
Cody has already demanded that we visit Yankee Stadium since they are tearing it down. (So why cant I demand a Broadway play?) I have also heard there is a restaurant called "Serendipity" where they serve amazing Frozen Hot Chocolate. I am so looking forward to trying that.
By the way I am not sure if anyone has looked at hotel prices in NY, but they are insane. Most places want an average of $400 a night. I couldn't believe it but then again I have never been to the big city. We were lucky to find a place for $130 a night...I am sure it is pretty dumpy but we are taking are chances. And unless we wanted to stay in a Hostel...which I would never consent to, this was our best option. I can hardly wait.
